Tom Cruise has taken to social media this morning (Instagram to be specific) to reveal the title and first pic from the next Mission: Impossible movie.
Cruise posted the following caption of a picture that shows him balancing on the side of a helicopter:
We’ve upped the ante for the sixth #MissionImpossible. I can’t wait for you guys to see more.
The sixth film in the Mission: Impossible franchise also has a full title now:
Christopher McQuarrie, who previously directed Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation, is once again writing and directing the Paramount Pictures sequel.
While there is no official plot for the film, we do know that Fallout will find Ethan Hunt (Cruise) and his IMF team (Alec Baldwin, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames) along with some familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan) in a race against time after a mission gone wrong. Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby have also signed on to star in the film.
Mission: Impossible – Fallout is slated to arrive in theaters July 27
