100 Years of Movies in 100 Days – Day 93 – The Bourne Identity (2002)

So glad I had the opportunity to screen The Bourne Identity. I’d forgotten how the whole trilogy started. I forgot that Chris Cooper and Clive Owen were in the first installment. And the movie is so good that I’m compelled to watch the next two movies right now.

Also, earlier today, I went to the opening weekend celebration of the new Beach Cities ArcLight Theaters and saw Conviction. Not a bad movie, but not great. Just kind of OK. While I wanted to sympathize with Hilary Swank and Sam Rockwell’s characters, I just couldn’t really get into it. In the end, instead of being happy and filled with a sense of righteousness, I was just kind of like, eh, OK. I’m not really sure what it was about this movie that failed to connect with me.

Oh well, final week of movies. The end is near.
