Tickets for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker went on sale Monday. Ticket sales have been robust to say the least with Atom Tickets reporting the film had the second-best first day pre-sales ever and blew past Avengers: Endgame for best first hour sales by 45 percent. [Deadline]

Based on Endgame‘s record-breaking presale numbers, many anticipated a all-time record opening north of $300 million and that’s exactly what happened with $357.1 million in U.S. and Canada. Rise of Skywalker‘s strong early pre-sales suggests an opening weekend that could challenge Endgame’s mark.
