After months of rumors and snippets of news, you’ve waited long enough for the first trailer to Captain America: Civil War.
Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. introduced the world premiere trailer on the Jimmy Kimmel Show tonight which was promptly followed by Disney email blasts for the film. But enough reading, here’s the trailer:
If you’ve read the Marvel comics version of the Civil War, then you’ll notice more than a handful of characters are missing from this first trailer. That’s not to say that they’re going to be missing from the film. There’s a good chance that Marvel will sneak a couple of them in somewhere in this movie.
Captain America: Civil War brings the growing feud between Tony Stark/Iron Man and Steve Rodgers/Captain America to a head when the government decides the best course of action is to have all superheroes registered and properly trained/monitored.
Marvel, of course, is going to tweak a few things. Hell, they even re-imagined the original comic book series. Missing from this trailer is Ant-Man, who was seen in the D23 Expo trailer who, in the comics is on Iron Man’s side, but in the movie will be recruited by Cap. Black Widow also appears in the movie despite not making an appearance during the main seven-issue story arc because Scarlett Johansson in a jumpsuit.
