We could all use a little more Toy Story in our lives and thankfully, Pixar/Disney have decided to gift us a holiday TV special. Titled ABC’s Toy Story That Time Forgot, (dear Lord I hope they amend that title) the special will air on the ABC Network on December 2 before inevitably being ushered onto home video.
The special was directed by Brave co-director Steve Purcell and will feature the toys on a new adventure where they will have to rely on Rex and Trixie as they are pitted against a bunch of prehistoric-themed toys for an all-out battle for toy kind! Sorry, got carried away with the exclamation point there.
The official synopsis is as follows:
After a post-Christmas play date, the Toy Story gang finds themselves in uncharted territory when the coolest set of action figures ever turn out to be dangerously delusional. If the gang hopes to return to Bonnie’s room, they’ll have to rely on Trixie the triceratops…
Yea that’s it.The synopsis ends rather abruptly. But don’t worry, I’m sure the Toy Story crew will figure a way to save the day. Now, to infinity and beyond… by which I mean, check out the teaser trailer below.
