There was really never any doubt that Paul Walker would live on in some fashion in Fast & Furious 7. The only question was how and now we know.
Filming on Fast & Furious 7 has resumed and Confidential has learned through a “source close to the production” that four actors with similar body physiques to Walker’s have been hired and will be used for movement.
The insider adds that Walker’s face and voice will be used on top of using CGI.
Walker has played cop Brian O’Connor in every film of the Fast franchise except for the third installment, Tokyo Drift. Following his sudden death in a fiery car crash in November, Universal had confirmed that he would appear in the latest installment, but never addressed exactly how they would pull it off.
The cast and crew had been filming in downtown Atlanta before the temporary shut down. A few months into the hiatus, franchise star Vin Diesel took to his Facebook page to announce the new release date for the film: April 10, 2015.
