The Terminator always said he’d be back and his upcoming reboot is beginning to fill in its casting list.
After testing a handful of young actors, Paramount has chosen A Good Day to Die Hard star Jai Courtney to play the role of Kyle Reese in Terminator: Genesis.
Fans of the franchise know that Reese is the father of John Connor and the love interest of Sarah Connor.
Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke is on board to play Sarah Connor while Zero Dark Thirty actor Jason Clarke (no real-life relation) will play John Connor. The reboot is being directed by Game of Thrones and Thor: The Dark World director Alan Taylor off a script by Shutter Island‘s Laeta Kalogridis and Drive Angry‘s Patrick Lussier.
Plot details have not been revealed, but Genesis will be the first of a stand-alone trilogy.
Fans won’t have to wait long to see Courtney on the big screen. The actor will star in the film adaptation of the YA best seller, Divergent.
