A Quick Update on 2019 Blog Plans

Annnnd we’re back from holiday season hiatus.

As you may or may not know, this blog is maintained during free hours and working holiday hours at Amazon (my regular 9-to-5) offers very little time to keep this little blog that could updated.

Anyway, now that we’re fresh into a new year, it’s time to catch up on a few things.

In the next couple of days, I’ll be posting my favorite films from 2018 (you can check out the full updated rankings over on Letterboxd) as well as my most anticipated films for 2019. You can also vote on which 2019 movies you’re looking forward to seeing. Avengers, Star Wars, Hobbs and Shaw, and Lego Movie look to currently be at the top of the list.

But that’s not all.

I’ll also have posts going up for the Breakout Stars of 2018 as well as who I think the Breakout Stars of 2019 will be.

From the analytics side, Japanese entertainment content continues to be one of the most highly-trafficked sub-genres on this blog so there will be more posts about that.

One post that will be going up soon will be a crowd-sourced summary of Favorite Actresses of 2018 (which you can currently vote on at Ranker) and Most Anticipated Japanese Movies for 2019.

Finally Disney, Warner Bros. and Universal continue to be the most blog-friendly studios so there will be content for their slate of films. I’ll be posting the complete slate of films for each studio over the next couple of weeks. (Disney is going to have a monster year)

I’m always open to feedback as the blog continues to evolve. Mind you, this is done completely free so I will be setting up a Patreon or some kind of monetary funding site soon.

As always, thanks for following along this blog that is entering it 9th year of existence! It’s crazy to think that something I started to chronicle my 100 Movies in 100 Days challenge back in 2010 has continued to live on all these years later.

Here’s to another great year of movies!
