While Marvel may have capped off a stellar Saturday inside Hall H, Disney’s other extensions remained noticeably absent. No Star Wars, no Walt Disney Pictures, no Pixar. The absence was understandable though as Disney doesn’t have much outside of Marvel to promote for the remainder of the year and whatever Star Wars goodies they had were showcased the week before at the Star Wars Celebration in London.
That being said, Disney did put some muscle into it’s lone animated feature arriving in theaters this fall. Moana, while looking visually gorgeous in the trailers that we’ve seen, looks like it’s going to need all the Disney marketing muscle it can get to pull audiences in during Thanksgiving weekend this year.
Auli’i Cravalho may not be a household name yet, but she voices the title character in the film and in an effort to get fans familiar with her, Disney sent her down to San Diego Comic-Con to promote the film in a non-Hall H panel.
Cravalho even had time to walk the crowded Comic-Con Exhibit Hall where she posed with a smaller version of her character.
She also took time to sign autographs for fans at the Hasbro Booth.

And of course who could resist a little Zootopia/Moana mash-up picture?
