Wondercon: ‘TMNT’ Sequel Brings New Trailer and Fred Armisen as Krang

While Wondercon doesn’t nearly have the studio push of it’s summer San Diego counterpart, it does allow movies that would be drowned out by Marvel/Star Wars/Warner Bros to shine. Case in point with Paramount and Nickelodeon Films’ Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel due out this summer.

For starters, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows producers made a casting announcement that should get many in the fan-verse hyped. Comedian Fred Armisen will be voicing super-villain Krang in the sequel.

“Anyone who’s a fan of Krang will love what Fred is doing. It’s unbelievable,” producer Andrew Form said during the panel.

The panel also featured a new trailer that saw April O’Neil (Megan Fox) being chased by four ninja-star throwing Foot Soldiers before being saved by Casey Jones (Stephen Amell).

Both stars were in attendance and you can watch a few of their interviews below courtesy of Flicks and the City. As for the trailer, we’ll post once Paramount makes it available to the public.

That’s not all though. The panel also debuted two new character posters for villains Rocksteady and Bebop. Click on them for larger versions.

And finally, while Amell was obviously too embarrassed to sing the words to “Go Ninja,” Fox had no problem indulging a fan.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows arrives in theaters June 3.
