The fallout from San Diego Comic-Con continues as new stills from X-Men: Apocalypse have arrived courtesy of Entertainment Weekly.
The images provide a good first look at Oscar Isaacs as the title villain, Apocalypse along with Olivia Munn’s Psylocke.
“It’s a chaotic world of conflict and war and destruction,” director Bryan Singer says in the article. “It’s one giant civilization that now requires one giant culling. That’s why he needs special assistants in this process.”
Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult are set to lead the cast of X-Men: Apocalypse as Magneto, Professor X, Mystique, and Beast. The film will also see the return of Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Lucas Till as Havok along with newcomers Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Ben Hardy as Angel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Lana Condor as Jubilee, and Munn as Psylocke.
The film is said to be the conclusion of a trilogy that began with X-Men: First Class and continued with Days of Future Past. X-Men: Apocalypse is due in theaters May 27, 2016.
