You know summer is right around the corner when the blockbuster popcorn movies start releasing trailers.
First up is the teaser trailer for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.
The familiar themes, look and angry rain are all there, but some of the special effects look really sketchy. Hopefully Robert Rodriguez can smooth things out between now and the film’s August 22 release.
Meanwhile, Captain America is a month out from arriving in theaters with its sequel, The Winter Soldier. Today, an extended clip was premiered on Fandango. If you’re looking to go into the sequel as fresh as possible, do NOT watch this clip. For everyone else who wants a taste of what to expect, here you go:
I’m not a huge fan of these extended clips that are becoming commonplace. I understand the necessity to whip the fan base up into a frenzy and get them to buy tickets for opening weekend, but often times, they reveal so much – case in point, that extended Amazing Spider-Man 2 trailer.
Just be patient, buy your ticket and then count down to the film’s April 4 release.
