Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Paul Rudd Emerge as Front-Runners for ‘Ant-Man’

With Captain America: The Winter Solider and Guardians of the Galaxy currently in production and Joss Whedon typing up the final draft for Avengers: Age of Ultron, our eyes are moving forward to Marvel’s Phase Three set of films.

Ant-Man leads off the group of films in the next phase of films and director Edgar Wrightrecently returned from vacation to tweet a picture of the character. Fans have been hoping for a potential actor to be attached to the film and today Variety reports thatJoseph Gordon-Levitt and Paul Rudd have emerged as front-runners for the role.

Both actors will meet with Marvel and Wright again before a final decision is made. There is the potential of a third actor (who currently remains unidentified) to be up for the role.

Read more about the potential Marvel casting here.

Who do you think should get the role? Personally, neither actor appears all that appetizing in the role, but I’ll wait to see what Marvel and Wright splash on the bigscreen before handing out any judgment.
